“I chose the University of New Haven because as I started my college searching and reaching out to coaches, I came across the University, and it was just what I was looking for,” she said. “The campus and class sizes were perfect.”
Wight is grateful for the opportunity to continue powering her golf game. She says she’s “improved incredibly” since her first year of high school, even placing third in her county last year. “I attended , and it was beautiful,” she recalls. “Everyone was so nice and welcoming. It was nice to see students studying together and helping each other out.”
In addition to golf, Wight also plays the electric and acoustic guitar. Passionate about music, she enjoys listening to a variety of genres, as well as going to concerts. She also enjoys sharing her love of golf with kids, and she teaches kids ages 5-16 how to play. Her experience has inspired her to continue to share her love of the game.
“I am excited to study business management because I hope one day I can manage my own golf training business,” she said. “I want to have a great education so I can do so properly.”
