Nearly 1,300 graduates will be recognized during two ceremonies on May 15. The Commencement addresses will be given by Paul Lemmo, president of Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, and Shelley Stewart, III, a senior partner with McKinsey & Company.

ËÄÉ«AV of New Haven will hold its Spring Commencement on Sunday, May 15, as nearly 1,300 degrees will be awarded to members of the Class of 2022 during two separate ceremonies at the .
The morning ceremony, beginning at 10:30, will recognize Graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences, Tagliatela College of Engineering, and School of Health Sciences. Paul Lemmo, president of , a , will give the Commencement address.
Student speakers for the morning ceremony include Sofia Martinez ’22, the president of the Undergraduate Student Government Association and a first-generation student who will pursue a master’s degree at , as well as Enoch Wang ’22 M.S., and a graduate of the University’s master’s degree program in cybersecurity and networks who will join Lockheed Martin as a systems engineer.
The afternoon ceremony, beginning at 3:30 p.m., will celebrate graduates of the Pompea College of Business and Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. Shelley Stewart III, a senior partner at , will give the Commencement address. Stewart also leads the , a think-and-do tank focused on catalyzing solutions to improving economic outcomes for Black individuals and families.
Student speakers for the afternoon ceremony include Christopher Raso ’22, a veteran of the U.S. Army Military Police who returned to school to earn a bachelor’s degree in homeland security and emergency management, and Martina Ibrahim ’21, ’22 M.S. a graduate student who earned a master’s degree in national security who is pursing employment with a federal agency.
