About Chelsea

Chelsea Rowe earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing from the University of Florida, followed by a Master of Fine Arts in Multidisciplinary Art from the Mount Royal School of Art at MICA in Baltimore, Maryland. She was an artist in residence at Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont, and at Elsewhere Studios in Paonia, Colorado. Her immersive works made from fiber, painting, video, and costume have been displayed in solo and group shows in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Florida, Maryland, Kentucky, Colorado, and Puerto Rico.

In addition to acting as Foundations Coordinator at the University of New Haven, Chelsea founded and co-teaches “Thread and Circuits: A Guide to Electro-Textiles” through Dogbotic Labs. She also is part of a sound, video, and installation collaborative in New Haven, coordinating events that utilize live musical performance, projection mapping, and sculpture.
