Master of Business Administration Full-Time MBA

Designed for recent college graduates with little or no professional experience, the University of New Haven’s Full-Time MBA is preparing today’s business leaders of tomorrow.

Start on the Fast Track

ËÄÉ«AV’s full-time MBA program, which is one of only two in Connecticut – and less than 30 across the U.S. – that offer concentrations that are STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) certified by the federal government, enables you to both master new skills through rigorous coursework and build a portfolio of experience through internships and real-world learning opportunities that will prepare you to excel.

Our program is a great choice for those who’ve recently completed an undergraduate degree or who are looking to continue their education straight out of college. The program’s schedule allows for students to complete the program in as few as 12 months for those who meet the criteria to waive the three business foundation courses, and carry a 12-credit hour load. Students who do not meet the waiver criteria may complete the program in less than two years.

All MBA students have the opportunity to engage in service learning, faculty-led research, internship, study abroad, and/or a Shared Live Client Experience (SLiCE) real-world consulting project. These experiences enable our students to develop the critical skills to analyze modern business problems and devise complex solutions, think strategically, and manage all aspects of the modern business enterprise.

Our professors, alumni network, and corporate partnerships offer the knowledge, practical experience, personal connections, and placement opportunities that will propel you to career success.

Innovative Interdisciplinary Concentrations

Coursework spans the core elements of business including accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, and statistics and offers students the opportunity to select from one of seven concentration areas for customized study.

Four of the concentrations (Data Analytics, Financial Analysis, Global Supply Chain Management, and Marketing & Digital Marketing) are STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) certified by the federal government, and they are designed to instill in our students the technical expertise that employers told us they are looking for in their future hires.

  • The concentration builds technical proficiency in the skills needed to implement and oversee data-driven business decisions, forming inferences and predictions from data, and making optimal and robust decisions. Applications of business analytics span all function areas.

  • This online-only concentration provides students with skills and competencies to understand the complex world of cybersecurity as it relates to the business discipline. Exposure to cyber techniques and vulnerabilities will assist students in recognizing and combatting aggressions in cybersecurity, financial crimes, and general business irregularities. Key managerial components of communication, leadership, and implementing effective crisis response will be emphasized.

  • This concentration provides students with a technical awareness of the opportunities needed to enhance business operations. It provides the tools necessary to collect, identify, and understand patterns that allow the organization to make informed decisions consistent with its mission. This is especially true with the advent of Big Data and increasingly sophisticated computing techniques used to mine it. With a specific focus on the application of mathematical statistics to the description, analysis, and forecasting of business data, the concentration features the analysis of data from multiple firm sources such as marketing, finance, human resource management, etc. The R-programming language is a central part of the concentration’s design.

  • This concentration provides students with competencies in evaluating the financial health of the organization and utilizing this information to create market strength. It provides a focused exposure to financial tools essential to the modern organizations for valuation, asset management, and risk management. The core program instruction includes the application of mathematics and statistics to the finance industry, computation and simulations methods, economics, and financial markets performance analysis and application.

  • The concentration advances the student’s knowledge of and proficiency in the administration of integrated decision practices that create efficiencies within the organization.

  • This concentration provides students with the technical skills to use digital analytics and managerial prowess to strategically implement marketing decisions related to business operations. It provides the tools necessary to collect, identify, and understand patterns that allow the organization to make informed data-driven decisions regarding the consumer economy. These skills are especially relevant with the continued growth of Big Data and the increasingly sophisticated computing techniques used to mine it. With a specific focus on the application of marketing data analysis, the program features insights in consumer behavior, Big Data, and analytics applied to real-world marketing challenges across various industries. The R-programming language is a central part of the concentration’s design.

  • The concentration advances knowledge of the process of formulating an organization’s vision and mission and of the assessment of the various environmental factors to implement cross-functional decisions in order to achieve comprehensive business objectives.
