Application Requirements for Graduate Students
These are the standard Graduate Application Requirements; please refer to individual Masters, Doctorate and Graduate Certificate program pages for any specific or additional requirements.

Master's Application Checklist

Complete the online graduate application
Most programs will utilize the University of New Haven Graduate Application above except for the programs that use their own program-specific Centralized Application Service application:
- Speech-Language Pathology, M.S. -
- Physician Associate Medicine, M.M.S. -
- Occupational Therapy, OTD -
- $50 non-refundable fee – this fee is waived for our current University of New Haven students and University of New Haven alumni
- Official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended, and proof of bachelor’s degree completion
- Two letters of recommendation (example: one from a past employer, one from an academic source who can attest to the applicant’s academic performance)
- A Statement of Purpose
- Professional resume or curriculum vitae highlighting experience
- Certain majors require GRE and/or GMAT test scores. GRE School Code: 3663; GMAT school code: P1X-DS-94. See GRE/GMAT section below for more information
- Academically qualified candidates will be invited to an interview for the following programs:

- $50 non-refundable application fee
- Three Letters of recommendation – Two letters of recommendation for Doctor of Health Sciences, DHSc only
- Writing sample
- Professional resume or curriculum vitae highlighting experience
- Statement of Purpose: must include applicant background, goals, and reasons for pursuing their doctoral studies at the University of New Haven
- Interview Requirement for all academically qualified doctoral candidates except Criminal Justice Ph.D.

Please Note: GRE/GMAT test scores are required for master's degree applicants applying to the following programs:
- Forensic Science M.S.
